Change refers to any alteration in the internal or external environments.
Organisational Change is the adoption of a new idea or behaviour by an organisation.
All organisations face and encounter change. Some changes are forced on an organisation and must be undertaken hastily; meanwhile others are carefully planned and executed.
Change can be defined as being either proactive or reactive in its nature.
Proactive Change involves initiating the change rather than simply to reacting to events that are affecting the organisation.
Reactive Change, on the other hand involves waiting for a change to occur within the environments surrounding the organisation and then responding to it.
