To construct a box plot there are four main features:
- The actual box represents the middle 50% of data set.
- The median is always drawn as a vertical line within the box.
- The whiskers of the box represent the lower 25% of data values and the upper 25% of data values.
- Outliers are shown as dots to the left or the right of the whiskers.
